The source is where the water coming out from, a mysterious hidden place inside the earth which is animating.
Olivier hiute and Margaret noe… considering these sources and these hidden aspects of nature and its relation with humans in their artworks.
Their artworks showing the sources and the roots of human and nature and has nothing to do with the local geography, religion, political criticism or  modernism or playing with forms.
Their art is connective and has powerful attraction which invites the man to inside.
They lead the audience to the one part of a negotiation in their work. The gaps on the earth in works such as “walking… and sitting”, “Blue planet blues”.
Are representing the life sources such as cultivating and growing and the animating feature of soil and earth. They inviting us to the earth to talk and to watch from a different point of view.
What is important in the vision of these artists is their different vision to the nature art. However they usually working on huge works but their works are so much different from American land arts and they are not only revealing the beauty of the nature in the other side.
Most of their works are site specific but they have a expression beyond a special geography and their audience from each culture and language can feel their work.
The challenges in their work are simple but at the accurate point. Olivier and magrit are looking for purity and the harmony between man ant nature.
They telling from soil and root and life to the contemporary and consumer human. They showing the war and violence with breaks and ruins instead of weapons and blood.
They are taking us to the sources of life where the life is going on far from the everyday crowd in peace and silence.
